Heat Warning

Updated: Jul 7

Toronto, Ontario. Alert in effect

Heat warning

Issued at 04:16 Monday 27 July 2020

Hot and humid conditions continue today.

High temperatures today are forecast to be 30 to 33 degrees Celsius. Humidex values near 40 are also expected. A cold front will pass through southern Ontario from west to east this evening, bringing in a slightly cooler and drier air mass for Tuesday. Hot and humid air can also bring deteriorating air quality and result in the air quality health index approaching the high-risk category. ###

Extreme heat affects everyone. The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, and people working or exercising outdoors. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ONstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
