Let's Talk About Winter Weather

Lina and Harry are talking bout the winter weather at the bus stop. Read and practise the conversation.

Lina: The weather is terrible today. The road looks icy.

Harry: Yes, freezing rain fell early this morning.

Lina: I had to walk very slowly. The sidewalk was covered with ice pellets.

Harry: The cold air makes it feel much colder than the real temperature.

Lina: I agree. My hands started to hurt from the cold.

Harry: Did you notice that strong gust a minute ago?

Lina: Yes, the wind was powerful and sudden.

Harry: Winter storms, especially blizzards can be dangerous if people rush.
