Subject and Object Pronouns


Subject pronouns are used before the verb.

They tell us who does the action.

I, you, he, she, it, we, they

Examples:

  • She works in a bank.

  • They are waiting outside.


Object pronouns are used after the verb or preposition.

They tell us who receives the action.

me, you, him, her, it, us, them

Examples:

  • The teacher helped me.

  • I spoke to them yesterday.


If the pronoun does the action → Subject

If the pronoun receives the action → Object


I. Choose the correct subject or object pronoun.
